This copy is housed in a charming burgundy slipcase featuring the title, "Mr. William Shakespeares Comedies, Histories, & Tragedies. Published according to the True Originall Copies" down the side. This hardback book is bound in quarter burgundy leather with beige cloth boards decorated with a stunning brown ink illustration of Elizabethan London. On the spine, one finds gold gilt lettering and intricate decorative elements interspersed with five raised bands. Within the pages of this book, the reader is treated to a facsimile of William Shakespeare's Comedies, Histories & Tragedies, as how they would have appeared in their original format. This copy is in very good condition, despite some minor bumping to the slipcase the book itself appears remarkably well preserved. "The First Folio of Shakespeare" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any Shakespeare lover.
