Through this extensive near-complete set, the reader follows the journey follows the journey of two separate periodicals, "Air" and "Airways" that converged and continued to reshape themselves throughout the 1920s and 1930s. This set begins with "Airways" published by Newton and Company (and later Airways Publishing Ltd), and contains August 1924-August 1925 bound in to a hardback faux-leather volume without their covers, as well as September 1926 to August 1927 similarly bound. This set also contains the following loose "Airways" titles bound in their original paper covers - 1924 Aug, Sept, Dec; 1925 full year missing Mar, May and Oct; 1926 complete; 1927 full year missing Oct and Dec; 1928 Nov; 1929 Feb, Jun-Dec; 1930 complete; 1931 Jan-Apr. In addition, one finds a run of "Air" magazine, also loose in their original paper covers, containing - 1927 Dec; 1928-1930 all complete; 1931 Jan-Apr. In 1931, the two combined to become "Air & Airways" of which this set contains the original loose paper covers - 1931 May-Dec; 1932 complete; 1933 Jan-Jun. One also finds 1933 Aug-Dec and May 1934 of "Airways & Airports", also published by the Airways Publications Ltd, as well as 1935 Jun-Sept, Nov & Dec of "Aero & Airways" published by the Bernard Jones Publishing Company. Each of the volumes in this extensive set are in good condition, with some minor shelf wear and some slight tearing to their corners and edges. This set of original 1920s and 30s "Air", "Airways", "Airways & Airports", "Aero & Airways", and of course "Air & Airways" is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiast.
